Studio Terms & Conditions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Nature of Lessons

Given the current circumstances, tuition may be a combination of in-person and online lessons. In order to follow studio measures, lessons will automatically move online should either party require to self-isolate.

2. Payments

All music tuition will be paid as per arrangement between the studio and the student/parent. Lessons paid per term or by block of 5 lessons must be paid promptly, before the start of the first lesson. This is done via bank transfer.

3. Late Payments & Refunds

Although no late payment fees are charged by the studio, should there be a delay in paying the fees then lessons may be suspended and lesson times reallocated.

Sadly there is no refund of any missed lessons.

4. Rescheduling of Lessons

A minimum of 24-hour notice must be given if a student would like to reschedule a missed lesson. This notice is given to avoid too much disruption of the studio timetable or other students' timetables.

Lessons cancelled within the 24-hour notice period will be considered a missed session.

On the rare occasion that the studio will not be able to deliver a scheduled lesson, the lesson will be replaced at a time convenient to both parties.

5. Missed Lessons in-person or online

No shows - if a student does not turn up for an agreed lesson appointment, this will be counted as a missed lesson and will not be rescheduled.

Late arrivals - if a student arrives late for an agreed lesson appointment, the lesson will finish on time according to the arranged schedule.

6. Cancellation of Lessons

The tuition agreement continues automatically from term to term. This agreement can be cancelled by giving notice in writing to nightingalemusicstudio@gmail.com

For lessons paid weekly - at least 2 day's cancellation notice is required.

For lessons paid per term or by block - a half term's cancellation notice is required. Lessons can be stopped only at the end of a half term or complete term.
